Have we ever actually had a member from Northwest Territories/Nunavut/Alberta/Saskatchewan/Manitoba join Atlasia?

My wife's from Alberta, but she hasn't joined Atlasia...

I actually like the Canada annexation idea and then dividing it up so that we will have all new regions essentially.  We do after all have quite a few Atlasian posters from Canada.

I still think the Canada thing has the best shot at getting passed. Since you are 'adding to' and not 'changing the existing' it should not require the passage of each Region... at least I think that's how it all works. The question gets asked "How many Atlasians are from Canada now"

The question that should get asked is how many Canadians would play. I don't think there's any disagreement that there are enough Canadians on the general forum to certainly make a presence

I don't see any compelling reason to do this.

Why? I have nothing against reforming Atlasia and in fact support it. However, it's just reckless to change things for change's own sake. I just don't see what problems get solved by adding Canada as a region. It would just make things more confusing for newbies and would just be another opportunity for strategic relocation and such.

There are already strategies for relocation.

I would endorse Canada being its own region. Many Atlasians are indeed Canadian, and I'm sure many non-Canadian Atlasians would feel at home by claiming residency in Canada for the fantasy elections. Alaska would then be attached to the rest of Atlasia, there would be more interesting local politics in Canada and Atlasia seems to be big enough to handle the map of the 2nd biggest country in the world.

At least we could annex the Canadian provinces to the existing regions, like make BC as part of the pacific region, etc. It would make Atlasia so much more fun...

Here is my proposal for 6 regions within the current national boundaries of Atlasia.  I tried to even the population as much as possible.

Dark Green:  The Pacific
Dark Red:  The Southwest
Dark blue:  The Northwest
Light green:  The Deep South
Pink:  The Mideast
Light blue:  The Northeast

I know people will think.. "huh?  Michigan in the Northwest?"  At one point, Michigan was considered the northwest.  It's why people usually call Washington part of the "Pacific Northwest" because states like the Dakotas and Minnesota were originally "The Northwest".

Oh no Gurl! Aint no way I'm going to part with Delaware!

I'd actually ask that to the people saying yes, excluding the 'it will be fun' platitudes. This is merely a reform for the sake of reform, and nothing says that this is necessary at all. There are much more pressing topics needing to be addressed than this inanity, like zombies which the State conveniently avoids.

I don't see any compelling reason to annex Canada. I was always under the impression that Atlasia, at its core, mirrored the United States on the world's stage, and annexing Canada would initiate a stark change to that idea. It would also set, I believe, a dangerous precedent for the future. Why not annex the UK so afleitch would be at home? Or France for Antonio? You see where I am going...

No -- When Atlasians became imperialists I have no idea. This is not reform.

Why is this even needed? There is no fundamental purpose.
