I hope so, because if he's for real, my faith in mankind would totally collapse.

I wish I could agree, Franzl, but his posts in the religion board seem too deeply "researched" (from a crazy perspective) for a simple troll.

Sadly I think this means the guy is simply a genuine HP.

He's a total Republican hack... but then again, I'm a hack as well.

I dunno why, but I have more patience with him than many other Republicans.  He seems to be affable.

Hope he's not real. I can't say if he's a horrible person in real life, but based on posts alone, an HP.

He can't be real...

No they don't. Stop watching MSNBC and the other liberal media stations. In the words of Bush, "the Iraqi people will decide who their leaders are, not politicians in Washington D.C."

Beside accusing Libertas of watching "liberal media" (lol), he's either total idiot, or just a sock.

Guys, admitt, whos' behind this nonsense.

Boring troll.
He lacks CoburnIn2012's panache and flamboyance.

I guess you little confused about my "rich" sock account.

In fact, I had one which lasted one day plus access to another, which was already created and used.

Pretty lame sock history in comparision to Jsojo, isn't it? Not to mention Ben, who had longtime sock and even voted with this in Atlasa.

That's still a pretty epic sock history compared to most people on here who haven't had any socks.

Can we stop the bickering and focus on the guy at hand, people?

Especially because he has so many...odd...notions.  Derek seems to come from the, "When there are multiple explanations to a problem, pick the least likely" school, as you'll see if you check out the thread about how the Egyptians were totally buddies with aliens.

I can't figure out if he's just wrong in the head or a troll who knows how to straddle the line just well enough that people can't be sure he's really a troll or not.

I'm glad you brought up the flying spaghetti monster because I happen to have been educated to debate that theory. Out of necessity there must have been a first cause, first mover, first being. This first cause or unmoved mover we call God. Yes, God's presence is incredibly flawed in mythology and religion. I'm not saying to take any myths literally because you have to put yourself in the place of the ancient cultures to really know what is being referred to. However, a flying spaghetti monster is not necessary for anything. A first cause, unmovable mover, primal essence of being is necessary for existence and therefore we at least know that there is something that would be known as this which we refer to as God.

You have been educated quite poorly. How do you know this God character - this first cause, first mover, first being - you speak of isn't the Flying Spaghetti Monster? That's pretty much what the FSM idea states, so the FSM idea is actually quite in agreement with your base premise.

Of course, your premise is flawed since it makes tons of assumptions that you can't back up, but that's a whole other can of worms.

Then that flying spaghetti monster is what we know as God but that would still be God. Is God a giant spaghetti monster? I can't answer because I've never seen God and as a finite can never truly see the infinite.

Ok, first you make some bogus argument that is somehow against the FSM, then you go say that the FSM is God. Perhaps you might want to think up an argument that's actually coherent before posting a response.

Also, everyone who knows anything knows that the real God is the Invisible Pink Unicorn.

I would have to say that after this he's probably a bit wrong in the head......
