I was in my first class of the day (8th grade) and the Principal told everyone what was going on and told us to turn on the tv to watch it.

I woke up to the radio switching as my wake up mechanism  with Hugh Hewitt on talk radio announcing that the second trade tower had been hit. Needless to say, I popped out of bed and went downstairs to turn on the telly, and stayed there glued to the tube for about 2 hours before commencing performing my morning libations.

I had just woken up and was about to go to my Freshman English Comp I class at Northwestern Oklahoma State University when the planes hit.  Some classes cancelled that day out of respect, but others still went on.  I think I still went to class from 8:00-9:15 that morning, but I took the rest of the day off and had my eyes glued to CNN.  It's hard to believe that was 9 years ago.
