Right, as a media celebrity, Palin is mostly serving herself. As a President, Obama is serving the people. You may think he's causing net damage, and that may be true, but that's your opinion. He's working in a role of high responsibility to the nation, and even people who disagree with what he's done mostly agree that he's trying to do what he thinks is right.

Yeah, Palin is irrelevant for now. But that's kind of the point. The people of Alaska elected her to be relevant. They elected her to take a responsibility, and she abandoned her post. That in itself is relevant.

Palin is hurting the country, and the media is allowing it. CNN's stupid political ticker covers her every move. Sarah calls them the "Lame Stream Media," but they're all her best friends -- without the constant breaking news every time she takes a sh**t, she would have faded into the background long ago.

She's hurting the country by continuing to be the lowest common denominator in American politics -- an empty suit full of "talkin' points" that only serve to scare people. Disagreeing with the administration or the "Democrat Party" is one thing, but doing so in such a simplistic and fear-inducing way is destructive. And I'm convinced that she doesn't really have any convictions one way or the other ... she's making loads of cash off of peoples' ignorance and willingness to buy into the fear that she's selling.
