I think 'Live Free or Die' is pretty outdated considering the state went for John Kerry.

Neither Kerry nor Bush are candidates who allow many personal freedoms.

However, I'm sick of this. Neither candidate will make the country "more free." Neither are really Libertarian in their views. Bush has the Patriot Act.

Come on.

What's one personal freedom Bush won't allow as president?

Among other things, gay marriage, as well as privacy that the Patriot Act is taking away.

Ask any Libertarian why they are not a huge fan of Bush and you'll get your answer.

What exactly is your definition of a personal freedom, besides a freedom that Bush would not disallow?

Not being thrown in jail for doing something, not banning stuff, etc. We all know what personal freedom is, and obviously state recognition of marriage has nothing to do with it.

I don't know what this "getting married" crap is that you think is banned, but the state just won't recognize gay unions. That's not a personal freedom.

Whatever kind of personal agreement you want is up to you. Government doesn't throw gay people in jail for "getting married."

Yes, it is. Freedom is not always positive. Some freedoms are dangerous to others. Freedom does not equal perfection. Some consider some freedoms to not be worth the cost, while others disagree. Gay marriage is one of those.

Just because you disagree with it does not make it not a freedom. You don't have to be thrown in jail for it to be depriving a freedom.

Uh, the "freedom" to make other people accept you is not freedom.

I didn't say all freedom was positive. I just want to know what freedom Bush is against. For example, drugs. But he has nothing to do with drug legalization as president.

Forcing people to accept you isn't a freedom? Hard to argue with that. You've just made every single freedom that anyone disagrees with not a freedom.
