I know emotions have been running high in the past 24 hours due to certain leaked documents.  Everyone is furious at everyone, pretty much.  In fact, we've somewhat brought to the forefront a degree of ugliness that might be considered unbecoming of what is, essentially, a meaningless game.

And it's entirely my fault.  I know that a lot of people are attacking Jbrase because he was the one who did the initial leaking, but it's not his fault.  I was the one who told him to do so, and I pressured him into doing it.  When I heard about what people were saying about me behind closed doors, I must admit that I was furious.  I lost my sense of judgment and rationality, and I took advantage of him to make myself look good.  At the time I thought that it was all for the best, but taking advantage of someone like that is never right, and I must offer my most sincere apologies for that.

I also betrayed his trust by posting our IM conversation.  That was completely out-of-line, and I had expressly promised him that I wouldn't.  I thought that it would make me look good.  That was a selfish, creepy, and downright mean thing for me to do.  I would also like to apologize for that, should he accept.

And I would like to apologize to everyone, for continuing a cycle of recriminations, bitterness, and incivility.  That's not how I want to act or do business, and I don't think anyone else should want to do that either.  I think that I've demonstrated with my self-serving behavior here today that I can't be trusted with a position of party leadership, so I would like to hereby tender my resignation as Populares Whip to chairman Dallasfan65.
