And is there any dispute that she is an incompetent hack after her 2006 senate campaign?

Name me a Senatorial Candidate who's a competent non-hack?

Richard Lugar, Bernie Sanders, Ron Wyden.

lulz......you really went to well for this, didn't you.  But I'll accept your 3 members (out of 100) member list......the other 97 are non-competent hacks.......so you proved my point.  Thanks, px!!!!!

Come on Gramps, don't act like Phil. These were from the top of my head.
I can't believe that you of all people defend Katherine Harris.

I think I called her a bumbler.......look back a bit.

Then why are you so offended because I called her an incompetent hack?

I'm not John King. I'm not obliged to say that both parties are equally guilty for everything.

Don't secretaries of state tend to become popular. Werent Condi and Powell the most popular members of the Bush admin.

If Hillary jumped back into domestic politics, her numbers would probably go down to 50/50, which is still pretty good.

The best part is how px, of all people, has the nerve to call someone an incompetent hack.

Why is that? Have I ran a campaign as disastrous as Harris's?

Running a bad campaign makes someone a hack? Wait, don't answer that. You've already had this topic go on about eight different, totally irrelevant tangents.

She earned her hack status during the recount saga.
Her 2006 campaign proved that she was an INCOMPETENT hack.
Got it?

It'd be nice for px to join the rest of us in civilized, thoughtful, and light hearted discussion rather than spewing burning flames of anger.

Ha! Good luck with that.

She should be president, and if the Democrats had followed the same logic & method they said we should follow back in the 2000 election, she would be (going by the popular vote vs the electoral collage, or in the case of the Dem primary, the delegate count--Hillary beat Obama in the popular vote, simply put).  It's okay though, because now we're stuck with a miserable failure of a leader, on par with the greatness that was Jimmy Carter.  Change you can believe in, guys!

Well said, my friend. She did get screwed and thrown under the bus by the party establishment when she was portrayed by the media AS the establishment candidate, not to mention the blatantly sexist comments made by some of the pundits. Of course, sexism in the campaign was only discussed once the senile old white fart picked the hockey mom as his running mate. Think back to the SNL skit: "But tonight we are addressing the now very ugly role that sexism is playing in the campaign. - An issue which I am frankly surprised to hear people suddenly care about." Smiley

However, I've slowly come to terms with it, but at the same time am delighted in seeing the magnificent job she is doing as our Secretary of State. I'll hand it to Obama, he did make a good choice in selecting her for the position, as she constantly said during the campaign that she wanted to restore America's image in the world after it had been shattered during the eight years of Dubya, and she's doing exactly that. She's pretty much the only reason why I am voting for Obama in 2012, because if we fire Obama, we fire Hillary, too, and I don't want to see that happen, especially at the risk of having a President You Betcha in the Oval Office. Surprise

1. Clinton only won the popular vote because there were uncontested states. Subtract Florida and Michigan and she lost.
2. Clinton also only won the popular vote because there were caucuses, which have much reduced turnout. Adjust caucus turnout to match election turnout and she lost.
3. Clinton also only won the popular vote because there was a ridiculous amount of early voting in states like California. Account for the election day vote and she lost.

In other words, she lost, fair and square. Stop being a baby and get over it.

This makes no sense. Obama won the delegate count because caucuses have such low turnout. Had those states had primaries I doubt he would've won at all. (Compare for instance SD and ND or the ID primary/caucus votes)
