Sometimes I wonder if these trolls on-line have some problems upstairs or they just are attention starved individuals trying to see how far they can push things before someone lays down the law on them.

I chose option 3

I think you can tell a lot about the quality of a person's posts by the average number of posts he or she makes per day.  The higher that number, the more irrelevant and trollish the posting becomes.

This post was reffering to the... threats that have been made against certain people at this board by some specific trolls.

I can see your point but look at Gustaf's PPD average it is very high and he is far from a troll, where as I think John's posting average is not very high. Interesting observation though.

Well, I make around twenty per day, and to my knowledge nobody thinks that I post irrelevant and trollish posts, so I dunno.

Oh sure, it's not true in 100% of cases, but I've noticed that trolls (or people who have nearly reached that level) tend to post a lot, and the more posts they make, the less relevant and substantive they become.  Certainly I meant no offense against someone like Gustaf who contributes a great deal to the boards.

I knew that and agree with you. As I said it is an interesting observation but there are certainly exceptions... Now you have me wanting to look up everyones PPD averages and see if this theory is right... hah

Actually, I have all four of my final exams crammed into three days next week, so I can't really spare that much time either, unfortunately.

I've only got three finals left, and then just one more semester full of the easiest classes available.  I'm just biding my time till graduation in May Smiley

True.  I hope to get at least a Master's degree, given that no jobs that I'd really like to get seem to expect anything less (and I'd like to just to do it, anyway).
