I'm not sure if happy is quite the right word, but sentiments shared (obviously).

And it's Veteran's Day! We honor (or honour, for our Canadian and British friends) those who have survived the horrors of war today!

One of the 10/11 Federal Holidays in a year (The Inaugration of the President is a holiday, but only every four years). The only ones left are Thanksgiving and Christmas.

One could make the case that it is happy to have had the killing stop, but sad to know that it would eventually lead to even more killing.
