No Gingrich, either.

Romney/Obama. Paul is intelligent with some good ideas, but he is too radical on monetary policy and too isolationist on foreign policy. He cannot win the nomination, anyway. Santorum is Obama with socially conservative views. I think everybody knows how I feel about Gingrich, who would easily be the worst of the five.

Republicans with Obama as their second choice might as well be a part of the braindead "independents" that decide who to vote for solely on style over substance. The policies enacted by Romney wouldn't be that much different from any of the others.

One, I am still a registered Democrat. Two, I will always take the devil I know over the devil I do not know (i.e., man-on-dog). Three, I will always take the less painful poison pill (i.e., Obama over Gingrich). My support for Romney is grounded in his undestanding and appreciation of free enterprise, and his strong foreign policy positions that take Obama's competent foreign policy positions and fine tune them. I could care less about most social issues outside of the 2nd amendment, which I fully support at the federal level. I live a very conservative lifestyle, but I believe in the philosophy of live and let live.

I'd quite enjoy Politico going from a Romney hack to an Obama hack.
