As an Assemblyman-Elect in the great Region of the Mideast, I would like to open my office in anticipation of being administered the oath of service on behalf of my constituents. I would like to begin by thanking my supports, particularly those who voted for me. Without your devotion I would have never risen to this great opportunity to better the lives of my many constituents through effective and just governance. I would also like to congratulate my fellow Assemblymen-elect, ZuWo, MOPolitico, Inks.LWC, and Cathcon, on their victory. It is my hope and intention that this election will be a true victory for the people of the Mideast.

To my detractors, I wish first to thank you for your interest in governance. It is a necessary part of our system to maintain challenged elections so that the principle of true competition in the marketplace of ideas will lead to more robust and visionary leadership. I would like to ask my detractors to please give me a fair chance to improve upon our Regional government and encourage them to give me constructive criticism. I work on behalf of the people of this great Mideast Region and am always open to suggestions to improve the quality of government that we in the Assembly can provide.

My personal goals for are, in addition to first to orienting myself to the functionality of the Assembly and establishing workable relationships with its other four members, to bring needed reform to our system of corporate governance, creating a categorical definition of a charity and other not-for-profit organizations, and beginning the controlled leasing of state parks and wildlife and recreation areas for hydraulic fracturing of the Marcellus shale formations that have potential as valuable natural resources located in the Mideast Region. I plan to advance these goals with an approach fostering a constant realization of the difference between right and wrong. I believe that this is particularly important for those in positions of power so that we are not overtaken by the selfishness of agendas and the corruption of undue influence of special interest groups.

As always, I appreciate suggestions as far as what the people of the Mideast would like to see of their government and will remain a receptive listener to the problems our Region faces.

Greetings fellow citizens of the Mideast Region.

I would like to spend some time away from the busy legislative session we are in the midst of to inform the people of the Assembly’s progress thus far this term. An important piece of my legislative agenda has been passed by the Assembly and was signed by Governor A-Bob on Wednesday: a clearly defined set of rules on the structure and classification of Not-for-Profit organizations. This new legislation will further ensure accountability and freedom for charitable organizations throughout the Mideast Region. Although not without some controversy, this was passed by a unanimous vote and will serve as an equitable framework for all just organizations in this region whose greater purpose is something other than turning a profit or playing politics.

My next focus is on the newly introduced corporate governance reform for the Mideast Region, which I believe will help to establish prosperity by fostering a business-friendly environment while simultaneously having no tolerance for a web of fraud and deceit on the part of executives and accountants.

I would like to applaud fellow Assemblymen Cathcon and MOPolitico for their contributions of designing a framework for adoption agencies in the region and for ensuring the people of this region are informed of who their political leaders are. We also passed a bill to further reduce the number of abortions that take place in the Mideast Region; however, its constitutional standing has come into question and the future of such legislation is unknown. I would like to thank Assemblyman ZuWo for his unending efforts to remake the legal culture of the Mideast into one that fully respects the values our society was built upon, in particular the right to life, and also his shared vision for a drug free society. I would like to thank Speaker Inks for his continued service to the people of the Mideast Region.

I look forward to continuing in service of the people of the Mideast Region.

It is an honour to work with such a knowledgeable, intelligent, articulate and reliably conservative Assemblyman like you. I fully support your re-election campaign in September and hope to see you serve our region for a long time and run for higher office at some point in the future!

My fellow voters of the Mideast Region,

The Senate has recently passed an amendment that would bar the federal government from drafting its citizens to fight in our armed forces against their will and granting an exception in the case of a direct attack on Atlasian soil. This is an acceptable policy solution and in line with my beliefs on the value of human life.

However, the method in which this conscription would occur is utterly insane. It allows only the Regions to enact conscription for out national armed forces. In fact, Regions could decide not to conscript to contribute to help other regions in the event of an attack. Since the Mideast is the most conservative region in Atlasia, it is entirely likely than in the rare event of a direct attack, all other regions would opt out except the Mideast.

I believe it is unfair to place the burden of drafting unwilling citizens only on those in regions willing to take that challenge. I believe this amendment is completely unfair to the Mideast people and urge you all to vote it down.

Thank you. Good night and Dave bless.

Voters of the Mideast,

We’ve come to the point in our election cycle once more where you have the power to determine the course of our region’s future. I would like to humbly ask you for the opportunity to be a part of that future as a Mideast Assemblyman.

This past term I have written legislation to enhance the cost efficiency of our lighting technology use in government agencies across the board and switch to newer, greener LED technology in our traffic lights, protect the natural beauty of our inland lakes and ponds through the sponsorship of algael technology advancements, and am currently fighting to protect the rights of property owners against the redefinition of property lines around public bodies of water without just compensation.

If re-elected I will continue to serve as a consistent conservative voice in our government, yet also willing to explore pragmatic and logical solutions to the problems we face.

Your bills are always very well thought-out and have a huge success rate in the Assembly. This fact alone already qualifies you for another term in the Assembly.

You are endorsed.

After weeks of communting between offices, I have come to the conclusion it is time to open a Nyman branch of my Senate office as a way to better serve my constituents. I would like to remain open to any suggestions to improve our government and its efficiency in providing services.

This past terms has seen much turmoil within the Senate as many of my fellow senators have been replaced to take various other positions or have exited the political world altogether. We have also seen a vote of no confidence in our old two party system, ushering in a new and exciting era of upheaval and change.

This past legislative session dealt primarily with bills that had been proposed in previous sessions, from energy related reforms to an another attempt to amend the constitution to forbid conscription. My attempt to reform the caucus system failed due to a lack of widespread support after the collapse of the two party system. The primary reason for this is that our political landscape has changed so drastically since the system, flawed even then, was introduced. I now believe the caucus system is no longer of practical use and should be discarded. I still believe such a system could be interesting; however, there does not appear to be a tremendous amount of interest at this time.

In the coming term, I hope to achieve a massive reform of our corporate governance system that empowers our large corporations to foster an environment of true growth rather than empty appearances. I hope to fix our broken system of executive compensation which often rewards excessive risk and failure at the top levels of management while workers and shareholders are left holding the bag. I also hope to embark on a well needed upgrade of our electrical grid system, one which removes the barriers to competition among different providers and improves our infrastructure to match those of other First-World nations.

I again thank you all for your support and always appreciate feedback and suggestions from my constituents.
