"Person X" isn't based on any one person in particular, just a composite character based on several people I know, but since I know some people who encompass several of these traits having all of them wouldn't shock me at all.

Person X: Liberal Christian, supports gay marriage, smokes weed and sometimes says grace over it when sharing it with friends, believes that people can sometimes be healed through prayer and divine intervention and will do things like place their hands on someone's head and pray for them if they mention having a headache, believes that God personally speaks to them and sends them visions and prophecies, believes that dressing formally for church is not only undesirable but potentially sinful, believes that God wants Barack Obama to be President and that Rick Santorum's primary victories were the result of God's intervention so Obama can crush Santorum in the general election and send a message that one should worship God alone and not worship the misogynistic, anti-progressive Pope that Santorum puts before Christ.

BushOklahoma: Well...BushOklahoma.

People that believe that God speaks to them, and lays hands on the ill and what not are either liars (the vast majority of them) or insane.

Person X.  Anyone who strongly believes that God is directly influencing political victories is, well... yeah.

So a considerably more charismatic version of you with bizarre left-dominionist tendencies? Yes, that's actually considerably weirder than Bushie. Bushie is many things, but outside the American mainstream is honestly not one of them.

I don't think BushOK is strange at all; he's been good to me.

I really don't know about Person X.

BushOK isn't strange, his eccentricities largely stem from a pretty serious case of obsessive-compulsive disorder which limits his ability to think in a way we would accept as normal/rational (and his environment only serves to reinforce this, assuming it matters at all).

Like a certain poster, who made a couple of "Atlasia is boring, I'm leaving" threads, only to return relatively quickly? Smiley

Not the same thing, but tell me who that guy is and I'll remember to make fun of him.

Xahar,

I already said that making a goodbye thread was probably an overreaction on my part. There; are you happy? I don't see why your so intent on lingering on it. That really says more about you than me.

During this last day or so, you've been a sarcastic jerk to me. I hope that you feel at least some degree of shame for yourself. I'm trying to bring people together on here and I like when we can share our views in a civil manner; you seem to be working towards the opposite end.

I don't go around making fun of people just because of one thread that they started...and I don't understand your fascination in doing so. I really thought you were more mature than that.

Good to know you're going to master in a self-deprecating humor Smiley

Seriously now. We're surely agreeing that "I'm leaving" threads are annoying, but can we give Miles a benefit of an otherwise clean record?

I also find his attitude regarding Sarah Fluke, to put that mildly, disturbing, but giving all contributions he's providing to Atlas, don't kick a lying guy.

I never saw the signature in question; I have no idea what any of this is about. I do know that it's a dark day for this forum when a poster is expected to feel ashamed for making fun of an "I'm leaving" thread.
