I think he teases a run but ends up not actually running. He can float the idea to keep himself in the news for a while (a politician with an ego, who would have guessed) He'll give a speech at the 2016 DNC and ride off into retirement.

That being said, if a Democrat is elected President in 2016, I could see him move over to Secretary of State.
