Croydon Banlieu: Labour 64.7, Tories 16.8, UKIP 5.7, LibDems 3.5, Green 3.5, Respect 2.9, CPA 0.8, Nazi 0.6, Commie 0.5, Loony 0.4, Lunatic 0.3, Other 0.2

Labour majority of 11,761 (47.9), which is Labour's largest ever here (although obviously the area has only recently, etc). Anyways, excellent result.

Very good result for Labour.  Not quite as bad for the Tories as further north, but still not very good.  Very poor for the Lib Dems, totally unjustified hype for Respect.

A large chunk of this, of course, was a seat that the Liberals managed to win in 1981.

In Britain, of all places. But the Young Peoples Party sounds like something you would find in Sweden.

The YPP guy was interviewed for Croydon FM or somesuch, and came across as a complete and utter waste of space. All he would do is talk about private rents and landlords and the like, but never in the context of young people. He didn't mention young people once, it was all business-led, without reference to the people his party is supposed to represent.

They were also beaten by Mr Mozzarella in Corby.
