Here's my tl on the whole subject...

Winston Churchill wasn't born in England, and his family moved to New York City. About 40 years later, Winston is in the Senate, the year is 1940, Winston is probably the most fit person, other than Mr. Wilkie, to be president. He wins the nomination and the presidency, what would the Presidential timeline look like now?

32. Franklin D. Roosevelt< D-NY 1932-1940

33. Winston Churchill R-NY/ John C. Lodge R-MA 1940-1948. John C. Lodge** R-MA/ Dwight D. Eisenhower R-NY 1948-1951
35.Dwight D. Eisenhower R-NY/ Richard Nixon R-CA 1951-1960

36. John F. Kennedy*} D-MA/Adali Stevenson II* D-   1960-1965
37. Winston Churchill R-NY/ Richard Nixon R-NY 1965-1972
38. Richard Nixon>> R-NY/ Barry Goldwater R-AZ 1972-1980
39. Barry Goldwater* }R-AZ/ Ronald Reagan R-CA 1980-1981
40. Ronald Reagan>> R-CA/ Jack Kemp R-NY 1981-1992
41. Bill Clinton***{ D-AR/ Joe Lieberman D-CN 1992-1994
42. Joe Lieberman D-CN/ John Kerry D-MA 1994-1996

43. Jeb Bush>> R-FL/ Elizabeth Dole R-NC/Condellezza Rice R-CA 1996-200444. Condellezza Rice } > R-CA/ Mitt Romney R-MA, Sarah Palin R-AK 2004-2012
45. Sarah Palin>> R-AK/ Marco Rubio R-FL 2012-2020
46. Marco Rubio >>> R-FL/ Paul Ryan R-WI/ Charles R. Jacobson I-MI 2020-2032
47. Charles R. Jacobson |> I-MI/ Theodore Roosevelt Franklin R-CA 2032-2040

note 1: I put some of my own fictitious presidents there!
note 2: Due to the Republican presence in the White House, and Congress, the 22nd Amendment didn't pass.
note 3: Goldwater was assassinated by one of the many people who thought he literaly stole the election
note 4: Clinton was impeached for the same reasons, and helping in with Hillary in Whitewater-gate
Note 5: Both Kennedy and Stevenson were assassinated, so Speaker of the House, Winston Churchill became President again.

key, *assassinated, **resigned, ***fully impeached <Democratic landslide, >Republican landslide, >> or << two term landslide, >>> or <<< three term landslide }very close REP win, {very close DEM win. |very close but IND win

That's just to get the ball rolling...

When did the United States become a single-party nation? In 100 years, from 1940-2040, the Democrats only have held the Presidency for 9 yeas? Yeah that's realistic...

Sorry for that, I forgot to add some Dems in that. I originally had that as an intentionally inaccurate list. I'm currently doing an election night on one of my tl's so I'll edit it later.

Why would make an intentionally inaccurate list? What a weak copout.

It was on a thread-like thread on a different website that asked for what I would like in a timeline of Presidents, no matter the inaccuracies. So give me a break.

This part is from 1880-1905Okay, so lets say that Churchill was born in NYC. His father enters American politics; and becomes a Republican Representative for New York. He later becomes a Senator.  Okay, so the next part I actually want to have Winston entering politics; but I'm currently busy on another tl, so if anyone wants to continue...

No comments? okay...

1905-1913, and 1913-1921

Winston enters politics as a Republican senator, he decides to represent Pennsylvania, mainly because if he ran for Senate in New York, he will lose. He serves two terms, then he runs for the Governor of Pennsylvania, and wins.

If anybody wants to post their thoughts on if Churchill was American, you can. I just don't want this thread to die... Smiley

To tell you the truth, that's where I got my inspiration for this from. Oh, and I do remember a timeline called "An Independent in 2000" about Charles Malcom Edwards from Washington state becoming President. I wanna do a timeline on him in the near future, maybe tomorrow, maybe. Oh, and thanks! Smiley
