Today, it seems so improbable that a California senator who also happened to be a Japanese-Canadian-American English professor who lived in Marin County would be a Republican.

I remember my High School english teacher talking about him one day, and I looked it up and I was just thinking NO WAY.

Either way, he doesn't seem like my type of Republican, but probably not a bad guy, and certainly bright.
