Not really comparable to gubernatorial races. Let's not forget California had a Republican governor 4 short years ago...

Do you think that like how a Pro-Choice Republican won the Governorship in CA that a Pro-Life Governor might be the way to go in Texas? Though I imagine even giving up on abortion would either not be enough or could even be shooting yourself in the foot in Texas.
