Probably Republican to get in the debates, then drop out right before Iowa and endorse Rand Paul for the nomination. If Rand doesn't get the nomination, he runs as a Libertarian.

Rand Paul is not running as a Libertarian.

I think he meant endorsing Rand for republican nomination

Ranked by the probability of a run.

Rick Santorum (90%): Did better than expected last time. Doesn't have much else to do to raise his profile. Has a niche as a blue-collar Republican.

Gary Johnson (80%): What else is he going to do?

Hillary Clinton (75%): She wants to be President, and a variety of circumstances have put her in the perfect position to do so. There might be health concerns, and she might decide that she doesn't want to spend the next ten years in a difficult/ rigorous job.

Rick Perry (75%): Has essentially spent the last two years of his term as Governor setting up a second run. Not a favorite, but can benefit from a drama-free campaign.

John Kasich (50%): Could determine that there's room in a crowded primary for a reelected swing state Governor.

Mitt Romney: (45%) He's a man who wants to be President, and he has had a terrific year. The Netflix documentary and the flap about his black grandson have humanized him. The mess in Russia makes his hawkishness look prescient, and polls show that he'd win in a landslide against Obama if the election were held today. Investigations have hobbled prominent Governors planning to run for the office. That said, he doesn't seem to want to run for President.

Mike Huckabee: (40%) Polls well, but making money elsewhere. Might think social conservatives need an advocate.

Joe Biden: (30%) Wants to be President, but doesn't have the support Hillary does. Unlikely to run if she does. Very likely to run if she doesn't.

Howard Dean: (15%) Could be a prominent voice on the left. Unlikely to run against Hillary.

Jon Huntsman: (15%) At least he finished third in New Hampshire. He might do better in a race without another Mormon businessman/ moderate Governor.

Herman Cain: (10%) The field is too crowded for him to sell more books.

Michelle Bachmann: (10%) She has to know that she bombed last time, right?

Clinton
Perry
Santorum
Johnson
Tancredo
Kasich

Biden will not run unless Hillary doesn't, and if she's breathing, she's running.

Santorum will run because he has something of a base among religious conservatives without coming off like Bachmann.

Tancredo can stake out the hard right on immigration.  He might run as a Constitution Party candidate.

Kasich barely ran in 2000; he almost doesn't count.  If he's re-elected Governor, he's #1 on the GOP's 2016 "Cleveland Airlift" if they need to draft someone to carry the ball.  (And believe me, Kasich will be the anointed one once he's re-elected.  Chris Christie will be benched like Alex Smith for Ohio's Kapernick by the GOP establishment.)

You know what? It's really sad, that our officials care only about the votes at the elections. They don't do anything to improve the standard of living of citizens. They only give us empty promises.
