So, basically, what he's saying is that we shouldn't have let Hitler get away with his shenanigans in Czechoslovakia.....apparently he doesn't understand that he's doing pretty much the EXACT SAME FUNKING THING RIGHT NOW.  Stupid and ballsy and in charge of a lot nukes.  Og save us all.

To be fair, Anglo-French weakness is directly responsible for the expansion of Germany in 1936-39. Especially Britain, frankly.

Not to mention that the Anglo-French alliance offer to the Soviet Union in 1939 basically consisted of "You do all the fighting to defend a country you hate, and then we backstab Hitler and get the spoils. And you get nothing." I hate to side with Putin, but the M-R Pact was the best foreign policy option available to the Soviet Union at the time. The idea was that Germany and the Entente would fight each other into oblivion, and the USSR could backstab Germany later. Nobody could foresee how quickly and decisively Germany would defeat France.

The Germans had something to offer, the Anglo-French didn't. It's that simple.
