Good to see.

He will carry Hillary over the finish line there against Walker.

UGH, not Burke, please.

Can Feingold just be unopposed?

I like Mary Burke, certainly better than Ron Kind. However, no one will challenge Feingold should he run. All factions of WIDP worship him, and they know it would be a waste of their time and money.

Should Feingold choose to not run, then we look at these other names. Burke has ruled out running and I believe her, but I think both Kind and Moore would enter. I am not a fan of either.

Feingold up by 9 certainly seems to be a Democratic-friendly result. With that said, Johnson should hope that, in the future, he's polling ahead of the eventual Republican nominee, otherwise he'll be in real trouble.

Another Feingold v. Johnson race would be enjoyable, and I think it'll definitely be closer than the 9 point margin shown in this poll. Nevertheless, it makes sense - Johnson is not very well known, and Feingold is known and popular. It'll be a matter of Johnson running another solid campaigning and hoping for a strong performance from the Republican Presidential ticket.

This looks like a D-friendly poll overall, but regardless, it's not at all surprising Feingold has a significant lead. He could very well end up outperforming Hillary in the end (the opposite dynamic of most of these races).

Don't be silly, Feingold isn't inevitable. He's been out of office for years, is rusty, and needs a REAL primary. Why is he entitled to a coronation? Polling well this far out means nothing. #ready4burke #draftburke

Maybe then Wisconsin can make up for it's crime of sending mega-HP Johnson to DC.

I wouldn't be that sad if Feingold won. He's a Democrat that actually stands for something. Thankfully though Johnson would win against all the others.

You just can't get enough of DLC candidates, can you?

Burke has publicly stated that she will not run at all and Gewn Moore said that if Feingold runs she will not challenge him and believes that no one will. Also he has held work over the last 5 years.

That was obviously a joke post pointing out the hypocrisy of the "Hillary needs a primary!" brigade. I support Feingold.

However, if the Wisconsin Democratic Party unanimously adores Feingold (and I don't doubt they do), then they clearly adore Hillary more, considering she led him 57-19 in a hypothetical primary.

I'm undecided. I'm more likely to vote for Johnson (like a 80/20 split if I had to say), however the presence of foreign policy issues in the election will ultimately decided my vote. The more centered on foreign policy things are, the more likely I am to vote for Feingold, especially since Johnson is an establishment hawk at this point on national security. Feingold also has to prove he won't be a mainstream Democrat (i.e. not cozy with Obama administration). I'm unlikely to vote for the libertarian candidate and I'll vote for Johnson over any other Dem.
