None. This reminds me of the loyalty pledge that Robert Taft's people pushed in the 1952 primary when independents and Democrats were turning out to nominate Eisenhower. Trump signs the pledge to shut certain people up and, if he wanta to break it later, it will never hold up in court.

What are the consequences if he doesn't follow through?

The RNC will be very, very disappointed in him. They might even write a stern letter and post in on their website.

It's pretty meaningless.
Sure, he's leading every poll so why would he consider running 3rd party now?
When he loses the nomination then I bet his tone will change.
