Loosely based on cabinet level positions and independent agencies of the government. This isn't so much about what interests you most, but what you are most informed about and can discuss in the greatest detail.

For me it would be foreign policy/diplomacy distantly followed by science/technology and intelligence/spying.

Environment, Energy and agriculture is a good trifecta. Although of course elections would be a good bet as well.

I wonder who will pick the postal service?

Voted for Elections (not sure if that should really count as "issue", btw) and foreign policy/diplomacy. The issue list is quite comprehensive for the US, but not for Western Europe. As a third issue, I'd add identity politics/cultural clashes in the West, or the EU.

Also, just to clarify, "elections" is meant to reference the organization and execution of holding elections (i.e. registration, getting ballots to voters, how to count votes) and is not meant to reference just knowing election winners and the history of individual elections.

1. Monetary Policy
--
2. Agriculture
3. Fiscal Policy
4. Energy

edit: housing and urban development is also an area that would make my list. possibly #2, ironically neck and neck with agriculture, but that is far more interesting as the local level of smaller cities.

Immigration is also missing, by the way.

I was thinking these would be covered under "law and justice" or "law enforcement/domestic security" (in the case of immigration), but I see your point. Is there a way to add them in?

Elections (obviously)
Entitlement Programs (welfare policy has been one of my main academic interests)
Economy/Fiscal Policy (not buying into the austerity nonsense is already a significant advantage considering the dire state of modern public discourse)
