Lets say the kingmakers decide to get off the sidelines and run themselves instead.

On one side, you've got the ragin' cajun - James Carville (D - LA), best known for taking the nearly unknown governor Clinton, and catapulting him into the whitehouse.

On the other - Karl Rove (R - CO), known alternately as 'the boy genius' and 'turd blossom'.   He ran a gaffe prone lightweight against peace and prosperity in 2000 and won (sort of).

So, who wins?  How does the election run? Anyone want to post a map or two?

Rove would win. Lets face it Clinton an easy sell. Whereas Bush isn't anywhere near as charismatic as Bill Clinton is.

An easy sell?  Carville helped Clinton overcome Gennifer Flowers and the draft issue.  Love him or hate him, James Carville is a great political consultant/campaign manager.

LOL I didn't say he wasn't good. But do you honestly believe GWB was a better candidate than Bill Clinton?

I would proudly cast my vote for an independent candidate.

In this race, that would be Dick Morris.

Bill was the better natural candidate, but he was hardly an easy sell.  When Flowers initially came forward with her story a lot of people were predicting a Clinton dropout.

Carville has more of a nice guy to him than Rove. Rove looks a weasel, acts like a weasel and represents weasels. I feel sorry for Mr.Pawlenty

Okay, you're right I should have said he was an easy sell compared to Bush.

You ever get the sense that Carville and Rove were sitting down having a beer together in 1990 when Carville said: "I bet I can take this womanizing hick who would not know integrity if it bit him on the ass and lead him to be a 2 term President."  To which Rove replied, "Ha!  That's nothing I bet I can take the idiot son of our current President and lead him to be a two term President after your little experiment ends."

"Which one, George or the guy with the stupid name?"

"I'll let you decide when Bubba is on his way out."

Carville is far too annoying to be President.

And during the debates, he wouldn't be able to look to the audience for an applause every five seconds. I liked Carlson on Crossfire and Novak is good but they need someone to shut up Carville and really put the arrogant egghead in his place.

(Sorry for the anger. I really dislike Carville and dislike Paul Begala even more...)

I do wish Carville would let the other guy talk. He never even gives the conservative a chance to speak, he always interrupts, which is funny once, but after a while takes away from the debate.

Might as well. Not like Tucker Carlson and hos bowtie or Novak are going to say anything constructive or intelligent anyway.

Don't start with Tucker. He was great. Novak might seem like a boring guy but always has something to say. He's very intelligent and knows what's going on in DC.

What's funny is Carville is always interrupting but Begala always uses that stupid line (with the conservative guests) "Excuse me for talking while you interrupt." which always gets an applause. It's so ridiculous. I can't wait until 2006. I want to see trash cans on each head. They keep spewing their stupidity, we keep winning. Keep up the good work, boys!

Novak does always have something to say well that is unless its something that could hurt the Bush administration like naming those within the administration who illegaly leaked the name of a CIA operative whose husband criticized the war...

Aside from that dumb move, Novak has great stories to offer. He always knows what's going on. You can't deny his the fact that he is a great source of information.
