He shouldn't have been invited in the first-place.

No. Only the producers of SNL should have any say in who hosts their show.

If they want to remove him, they should, but I suspect Trump is going to wind up regretting taking that invitation.

Absolutely not. They allowed Al Sharpton to host in 2003 when he was running for President. At this point SNL should be thankful for any ratings they can get.

Yes. Lorne Michaels should disinvite him.

Hosting SNL requires spending several long days of rehearsals and working with the writers/producers. With Trump in the middle of a national campaign, I don't think he could commit to that.

Also, hosts who aren't actors or comedians always bomb.

Absolutely not.

Their goal is entertainment and ratings. Trump has a reasonable chance of providing that.

If you're a Trump critic, there's a reasonable chance that it'll backfire and hurt his reputation.

There are some circumstances under in which it would be immoral to allow someone to host, but that would have to be extreme circumstances (IE- Bill Cosby)

Bill Cosby is an idiot, but "morality" has no place in the modern media world.

Anyway, SNL should be thankful Trump is hosting, considering its been steaming hot garboni for years now.

I think SNL should be able to do what they want to do...however...

I don't think it is appropriate to have him host. If they really wanted to get ratings by featuring him, then feature him in a sketch like they did with Hillary. But by giving him time with the monologue and so many sketches, it almost seems like an 1.5 hour Trump commercial. Also, in his monologue he is either going to continue to spew his vile jingoism and hatred, or is going to hide that other side of him from from the audience, which is just as worse.

I really hope the live audience is not afraid to boo him when he says something not cool. I highly doubt they are going to consist of the normal Trump yahoos that attend his speeches.

Why don't they just dump money in a garbage can and light it on fire? Same effect.

Please!

NBC is a network which has allowed Ice-T play the role of a detective for over a decade, despite having written the rap song "Cop Killer".   Let's get real.
