Martin Van Buren (to save Hoover)

Like Hoover, unfairly blamed for a Depression caused by the prevous administration. Presidents who get blamed for crisises that are completely the fault of the previous administration, Van Buren, Hoover, and myself have something in common.

Whilst its not entirely relevant here, the Constitutional Crisis was in no way the fault of the Kennedy administration: The suggestion that it is is plainly false.

Depression was not at all the fault of the Coolidge administration. Hoover actually deserves a lot more blame, though most of it was the Federal Reserve.

I was kidding Mr. Bell. Smiley

Although I wouldn't blame JFK for the Constituional Crisis I do know that it was not my fault yet I got blamed for it. Being President means you'll always be the scapegoat.

Marty "eats his meals from a golden plate" Van Buren

A fan of Whig propaganda, eh? I assume you know the irony of that- Van Buren came from one of the poorest Presidential backgrounds in history.

Unless I misread what Tredick posted in the immunity thread, my educated guess was correct and Calvin Coolege will be getting the immunity next round.  As long as I'm posting here, let me go ahead and vote for this round.

Hoover

I think we should get rid of immunity. Why is only used like every 4th round or something? We should either use it every round or not at all. The way it is right now is not standardized at all.

Here are the final results for Round 27:

Martin Van Buren - 16

Herbert Hoover - 13

Gerald Ford - 2

Ronald Reagan - 2

Abraham Lincoln - 1

Calvin Coolidge - 1

Harry Truman - 1

MARTIN VAN BUREN, YOU LASTED A LOT LONGER IN THIS GAME THAN MOST PEOPLE PROBABLY THOUGHT YOU WOULD.   BUT I'M AFRAID THAT THE CLOCK HAS FINALLY STRUCK MIDNIGHT ON YOUR CINDERELLA STORY AND IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO TURN BACK INTO A PUMPKIN.    YOU HAVE JUST BEEN VOTED OFF THE ISLAND!!

PRESIDENT VAN BUREN, THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN!!

<torch extinguished>

Wildcard has not given me the results of the immunity challenge.   So I do not know who won or which president has immunity.   So I'm gonna hold off on posting the Round 28 thread atleast for a little while until we hopefully hear from him.

Yeah Tredrick.  You dissapointed me.  I was looking forward to seeing if you could beat your six second record.   Smiley
