Defunding Abortion Companies

1. Planned Parenthood of Atlasia and their local and regionally counterparts and all abortion providers are forbidden from receiving any funds from the Southern Region.
2.  The Southern Regionally Government hereby appropriates $80 million dollars to build community health services that provide all of Planned Parenthood and Women Health Centers that perform abortions services except for abortions. The community health centers shall also have free clinics and mental health screenings.
3. The Community Health Centers are forbidden to preform or recommend abortions.

Sponsor: Classic Conservative

I'm neutral leaning aye for this bill, I believe the new community health services are great

Has Classic Conservative been appointed to the Legislature? To my knowledge, one has to be an officeholder in order to propose bills.

EDIT: Also, it is extremely foolhardy to forbid doctors from recommending abortions, considering that there are times in which such an operation is a medical necessity.

That's my question that I should've asked can someone introduce it for me and I think Truman that two citizens together can introduce a bill.

Let's propose that a total of $200m in money will be given to promote such healthcare centers for all and another $100m towards this. This is more than tripling the current spending you propose, benefits all citizens, not just women, but also provides the current care you suggest.

Additionally, that should say "funds of the regional Southern government" in Section one.

I am marveling at the fact that you consider places like PP "companies". Really quite silly. I strongly support women's healthcare which includes her right to choose. Even if you disagree with me on a women's right to choose doesn't mean you should take money away from PP which makes sure that donations and government subsides do not go to abortion services. This is a absurd notion of attempting to make a new service just because the other one provides abortion, something that taxpayer money doesn't cover.

This isn't the worst of bills, who are we to decide who dies a horrific death? There's a right to life as far as I'm concerned, with some exceptions if the mother's life is in danger, etc. I believe the new system proposed is amazing though! It needs a name.

I support the general idea behind the act but it needs a lot of revision if we speak of proposed funding.

I see little purpose behind this bill, if you want to support women's healthcare give to Planned Parenthood. They make sure that none of the taxpayers money goes to their 3% of abortion services. Recommending an abortion as a medical procedure is also part of having a healthcare service in general. I get very annoyed when people attempt to talk of getting government out of their lives, then insert themselves into it as the arbiter of what is moral and immoral. I have no qualms with the pro-life movement (except for the shooting of innocent people), but there needs to be a service for women to terminate their pregnancy.

Could be better, but it's a fairly good bill nonetheless. There's no reason that taxpayers should be funding a service that most of them think (in my opinion, correctly) is killing unborn children. I'm not a big fan of government spending in general, but women's health is a great place to put some of that surplus money.
