If Sanders of Biden had been the Democratic nominee? Clinton seems to be hemorrhaging this group to Trump. Would things be different had either of them been the nominee?

With Sanders yes, with Biden no since he's just a continuation of Obama's legacy.

Yeah, he might do slightly better then Hillary though not as well as I think Bernie would.

I'd think--based only on anecdotal evidence--that there might be a few votes out there that's have no problem voting for "an honest guy" like Sanders over Trump, but are beyond disgusted with Clinton.
