This thread is showing its absurdity by the fact that in the space of two pages we've gone from N-word to Trump killing a puppy on camera (or whatever).

I don't think there is anything, despite what we hear from NeverTrump Republicans indulging in wishful thinking.

Pointless speculation is one of the principal hobbies on this forum. Smiley

(And jumping at conclusions is practically an Olympic sport.)

This is all a bunch of noise. Leak the tapes already or just keep quiet about it. What to Democrats hope to gain from repeating "it's coming ... it's coming..." like some damned mantra, self-reassurance?

It's Republicans who are saying it's coming.

I think the bombshell is that there won't be a bombshell. Hillary might still win, but it's going to go down to the wire.

I remember someone (maybe Rick Wilson?) saying that there would be one that "isn't about women." And given the timing (during the sniffles talk), or the tweet they were responding to, it made it sound like it was something drug-related. Maybe that was just the allegations of the party with girls and drugs, but maybe there's video evidence, or something?

Ha!  Do you think that Bill and Hillary Clinton haven't used the n word in anger and casual conversation many, many times?  Not to mention making fun of gays.  Liberals do this all the time behind closed doors, but it seldom gets out because the media and civil rights groups look the other way.  It's in their best interest to keep it quiet.

They won't leak it right now because it wouldn't be in the news cycle at the right time.

EVEN if there was some really big bombshell report, how would Rick Wilson know about it? Presumably the Clinton camp would not make it so open that even any major political operative knew about it.

In the bars in DC, you have lots of operatives telling tall tales to impress others. Doesn't mean they are privy to any such evidence

Ummmmm, if "liberals" didn't believe in gay rights, there'd be no gay marriage in the United States.

I can't tell if Luntz is actually hinting at anything or just saying that there is always another Trump scandal popping up.

Unless it's something like the N word, I don't know what will hurt him.  The sexual comments are already out there, so more of those won't do much.  Talking about Russia/Putin?  Most Americana are more outraged by sex/bad language I would think.

Things that would actually hurt him at this point, IMHO:

*he's broke
*he's flat-out embezzling money from his campaign (more than he already is)
*he paid for an abortion for a mistress
*one or more videos of him gving insane racist or misogynistic rants
*video of him committing sexual assault (possibly against a minor)
*video/audio (maybe email?) of him conspiring with the Clintons or Russia
*he funded the 9/11 hijackers (likely unwittingly)

it would certainly explain his hand gestures and his way of speaking.

To answer the OP as a Floridian who has met both Luntz and Wilson: Luntz is a celebrity "pollster." Take him as seriously as Pete Williams or John Podesta. He is just used by Fox to give Republican grannys a feeling of being "in the war room."

Rick Wilson was once a serious consultant but is now retiring into a well earned and surely to be lucrative career as a TV commentator. He isn't involved in the anti-Trump movement, and he had no real involvement in the primaries what so ever here in Florida aside from his extremely witty and valuable presence on Twitter. There isn't a bombshell coming. It's all bluster.

Only being broke and 9/11 profiteering will honestly hurt Trump among his base and the "Independents" enough to dissuade them from voting, but both of those can never be proven since his tax returns will never be released or (wiki)leaked.

All of the rest of the scandals will have minimal impact. Indeed, the sex scandals alone can be -- have been already -- minimized as the quaint peccadilloes of an aging Wall Street playboy.
