This election has peovwn that being smug and shaming people into silence does not actually mean your opinion is the consensus, or even the majority. If you belive in reparations for blacks, why not cloak it in something more universal, but just coincidentally favors blacks instead of cheering the decline of white America?

We can talk about people not demonizing or worshiping our institutions?  Though we really need a few instances of Trump doing something kinda what 70% of what people want and then turn it into this 49% issue and put it front and center and once you do it several times, the supporters of these 49% things will overlap 98% of the time, but eventually you have a set of things that are 42-44% platform and you just nail the GOP with it. That has been the Republicans playbook for exactly 50 years.
