After their New Year’s tour of countries that see themselves as threatened by Russia, John McCain, Lindsay Graham and the rest of The Senate Armed Services Committee are holding a hearing this morning for US intelligence chiefs to present their hacking case against Russia.

This whole hearing appears to be designed in order to give the intelligence community an outlet to fire back at Donald Trump, and "have the intelligence community reinforce from their point of view that the Russians did this."
