Just curious ...

You can select up to 9 options, for example if you have stayed in several states.

Here is a map of the states and capitals and my home-town Zell am See:

Vienna, for a few days this past summer. I guess Vienna's airport is in Lower Austria, so there as well, but just in the airport and on the train.

Only European countries I've been to are the UK and France.  Though I've also been to Israel, and when I flew London->Tel Aviv, I think I flew over Austria.

Yes, in Schwechat (which is situated in Lower Austria).

For people who have only been at the airport - plz do not vote for Lower Austria or Vienna then.

Choose option 2.

Not only that:

Looking at Google Maps, you virtually flew above my home because the route London-Tel Aviv has Zell am See in between !

Vorarlberg, Carinthia and Vienna.

I once had the, ahem, joy of spending three days in Bregenz in the rain waiting for a friend to fight his way through train strikes in France.

I've been to all of them except Carinthia. Been to Tirol, Vorarlberg, Styria and Salzburg (even in Zell...) only once. I'm most acquainted with Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland; been there countless times.

I crossed into Austria at the summit of the Zugspitze. That would have put me in Tyrol.

In 1988 I spent a week of my honeymoon in Vienna. That included an overnight train ride in from Vaduz to Vienna, and another one out from Vienna to Trieste (without going through then Yugoslavia). In 1999 I was in Maria Alm for the total eclipse, but there were clouds so we drove that morning to the border near Szombathely Hungary. We returned from Szombathely by the northern highway through the southern outskirts of Vienna. In 2000 and 2002 I visited Salzburg as part of trips to Munich.

I think that gets me to all the states of Austria.

Probably all except Carinthia, but it was a long time ago.
