What would that translate to in to the electoral college? i,d imagine states like Missouri could be in play. Obama in 08 lost it by 4000 votes and won the popular vote by 7.3 percent.

All states Trump won by 8% or less go to Clinton. Ohio was won by 8.07% so it goes to Clinton, Texas was won by 9% and is trending D so goes Democrat. Iowa narrowly goes R.

406 EVs for the Democrats and 132 for the Republicans.

This is assuming that the states don't trend much at all in 2020. In 2020, I expect Democratic to do better in the Midwest and worse in the sunbelt. Also, one should keep elasticity in mind.

How big of a margin would a Democrat have to get to win all 50 states?

A huge margin.  25-30 points, maybe?  Wyoming would be an incredibly tough nut to crack.

Knowing our luck, probably something like:

Trump 270 - 43.2%
Democrat 268 EV - 53.2%

Why, of course land is more valuable than people. People in cities don't matter-wah, I have a rural conservative superiority complex! It's, it's as the founding fathers wanted! The Constitution is an infallible document! No, you can't abolish the Electoral College, then LA and New York will rule over us all. The will of the people my ass-I care about my will and the will of my trees, acres and cows, you stuck up liberal SJW! But if you win a landslide victory, I'll say it's a rigged election. Go f*** yourself, you closed-minded SJW. MAGA! MAGA! MAGA! MAGA! MAGA!
