Kanye West isn't even sane enough to be Trump, he's a manchild that makes Trump look like the calmest man alive.

Someone who pundits and George Will types think will succeed, but no one actually has any enthusiasm for and is in fact hated by large portions of the party, partially because they're running about 8 years past their political expiration date?

Sounds like a Hillary Clinton 2020 campaign.

EDIT: Or a Mark Cuban/Tom Steyer type who tries to be the Democrats Trump and falls flat on their face because Democrats don't want anything like Trump.

REAL analogy game

Warren = Cruz
Booker = Rubio
Harris = Walker (she could be the Cruz as well)
Cuomo = Bush
Kanye West = Trump

I think this is a bit closer though I'd sub Bush with Kasich for Cuomo.

There won't neccesarily be one. These elections usually don't compare closely enough to make this tight of a comparison between individual candidates.

Yeah people need to get over this idea the two parties are mirror images of each other.

I think if Tim Kaine runs, he'd be the Kasich.

I still have yet to hear someone explain what type of demographic coalition and states that he can win that can propel Kanye West to victory (especially considering he ass kissed Trump more than any other celebrity before the inauguration and all his political talk is barely coherent.) Not just "but Trump" or "muh blacks/Millennials"* over and over.

*No, this does not answer the demographic coalition question, because it's not even close to a majority of Democratic voters and assuming Kanye West would win blacks by Obama/Hillary numbers and Millennials by Bernie Sanders numbers is a pretty lofty assumption.

I wonder how badly Kanye would crater with Working class Whites.

I actually find the idea that Millennials would flock to a Kanye West candidacy kind of insulting.

Same and also makes zero sense considering what campaigns have resonated with Millennials.
