If it was about people dwelling on her stuttering, mispronouncing a word, or having a rare "brainfart," then yes, I'd agree with her that they're miserable and nit picky people. However, that's not the issue here. The issue is her saying absolutely absurd or baseless nonsense, or promoting outright lies. Dwelling on those doesn't make someone miserable (well, it does, but not the way she meant it), it means they're holding you accountable and expecting a degree of professionalism and transparency from you as a spokesperson for the President.

Indeed we all fall short. We  must accept the normal level of intellectual frailty of fellow human beings. Most of us must recognize our shortcomings and make appropriate adjustments. Consistent lying and inability or unwillingness to accept reality is inconsistent with good leadership. There's a fine line between what we must tolerate and what we cannot.  

It is ironic, but the President who thinks that his Predecessor could do nothing right is proving that his Predecessor is a model of at least an adequate President.
