14. And we are getting two more calls. Nebraska’s 2nd and Kansas will both stay with President Trump, completing his sweep of the interior plains.
3:11 AM: And we can call Colorado for Senator Warren now. Good news for her in her struggle to fend off Zuckerberg in the west. Zuckerberg might not win a lot of states tonight, but the national popular vote figures are looking good for him. He’s less than a point behind trump, making it likely that he will get the best third party performance in the popular vote ever.
3:17 AM: And we can call Minnesota too for Senator Warren. Unexpectedly close tonight, but her victory here makes it the entire midwest. However, it seems we’ll be waiting a while longer for California to be called.
3:18 AM: And our third swing state call for Senator Warren in less than ten minutes. We can call Nevada for her. Trump was leading there for much of the night, but Warren keeps it in her camp. Things are looking increasingly good for the Senator.
3:21 AM: And Zuckerberg wins his second state. Arizona goes for the independent candidate, the first time the state has ever done so.
3:30 AM: And we can now call North Carolina for Trump, but with a caveat. He appears to have won after 8 hours of counting, but the result is so close we believe that there will be a mandatory recount.
3:35 AM: And Zuckerberg carries Hawaii, with what seems like 47% of the vote, owing to overwhelming support from the asian community.
3:50 AM: And we can now call Montana for President Trump. A lot of calls in quick succession now.
3:51 AM: Wow, this is a big one. We can now call Pennsylvania for Senator Warren. This makes it so that’s even if Trump wins every state up for contention, he’ll still need to also carry North Carolina in the recount. A re-election seems increasingly unlikely. Meanwhile, Senator Warren is now only 26 electoral votes away from the presidency. With all the states being called for her, she now has a path to victory even without California.
