Peb!: The Perfect Candidate For a Positive Progressive Atlasia

Atlasia, let me be honest with you, our nation is hurting. The unemployment rate is high, incomes aren’t enough, and, well, we need to make it better for everybody. That’s why our platform includes so much worker protections and job creation. We will start a massive infrastructure project that includes revitalizing roads and bridges and railroads and airports and working to make our nation’s infrastructure the most advanced and cutting edge in the world.

We want to put tariffs on the goods of countries that are competing with our workers unfairly. We will expand our energy sector, which is vitally important since Russia has placed sanctions on us. We want to build more trade schools so more Atlasians get the skills they really need to be successful, which is especially critical as China gives us sanctions as well. And immigrants already here will be granted legal status and we will allow them to contribute to our economy, while still putting the citizens of this country first.

It is all summed up in that for too long we have been too reliant on powers like China and Russia to provide us with energy, cheap goods, or factory work that Atlasians could do. Yet this came at the cost of exploited workers in some of those countries working for a pittance under bad conditions, lost jobs here raising the unemployment sky high, and a loss of a truly independent Atlasia. And it has now become unsustainable with the sanctions placed on us.

You may have also noticed the frankly very disturbing occurrences taking place overseas. That we are heading towards war is shocking. This brings us to our foreign policy. And Atlasia’s foreign policy should be smart. I will take every development seriously and make a strong stand when it is the intelligent and moral thing to do. I am disappointed that the Federalist administrations before us recklessly pushed us to the brink of an international conflict.

While this should never have happened in my opinion, we should still fight for our interests and do it with all the conviction we can muster. But it should not be expensive. Some of you may want your tax dollars to go to Atlasia, but not spend too much on defense, which seems to have a bloated budget. I have to say that I agree with you in that regard and so will make sure to cut all unnecessary spending from our military budget, making sure that all funds go to defending our interests where we most need to defend them.

Mike Wells and I are running for the executive branch of Atlasia because we believe that it would be a change of pace for our nation. We need someone who will support the worker and cares about the people of Atlasia. And that choice can be easily be found in us. I believe that it is important that we engage in sensible and common sense measures that help lift everyone up. I believe that we should be strong and patriotic in the face of enemies who despise us. And it should be immensely clear that the ticket that will accomplish all these things is this one.

Tired of the swamp in Nyman stopping good progress dead in its tracks and making bad progress all the time, tired of the presidential branch that doesn’t work for them and only works for the D. F. W. Fhtagn Lover machine. And I am here to offer you a great other choice that will one hundred percent put the citizens of Atlasia ahead of the elites running our nation behind the scenes. Peebs will run the country in front of the scenes, so trans parent that you will know what is going on. We will make you trust the government again. It's clear as day, the issues Peebs mentioned are important to you and they're also important to us. Meanwhile, fhtagn keeps lying and the lives of so many people are still so very hard. The working man and woman won’t take it anymore. I’ll say it louder so she can hear it: we won’t take it anymore. Vote for us next month and I will make sure that you won’t have to.

In a major deal with the Kremlin and Atlasia; Russia has agreeed to pull out of both the North Korean and the Ukrainian crisis (withdrawal of troops in eastern Ukraine, an end to weapon supply to North Korea and removal of all sanctions placed on Atlasia) in exchange for Russia being able to keep possession of Crimea, removal of all sanctions placed on Russia in the last few years, and equal partnership with Atlasia on nuclear inspections.

Nice pair of speeches written by my good friend Mike Wells, but, he forgot to mention the vast inactivity that comes along with this ticket. With all due respect to Ms. Peebs, I resigned because I did not feel I was active enough in most respects to be President enough (Goldwater never felt he would be active enough either ftr), but I think there is a reasonable chance that I was still more active than Ms. Peebs in office. Ms. Peebs frequently gets warnings and reprieves about not debating on bills and although I do admit she does a good job for the most part as RG and sometimes as SoFE, I don't think those are shining qualifications for the job. I honestly think Mike Wells would've been better at the top of the ticket, and apparently this was the case until "they wanted to make the logo work", literally. Furthermore, Fhtagn doesn't want to be at war just like most of us, but Interim President Goldwater launched an airstrike that led us into war, we aren't "dangerously close to war", we are in war. You can't simply back out of war, if it were that simple President Fhtagn would've led us out of war when she was sworn into office and I am sure she is doing her best along with SoS Snowguy716 at steadily making peace, but it's not nearly as simple as you make it sound. Regardless, even if you could accomplish such a thing, I don't think it could happen given that Peebs is not active enough in any respects.

The quality of the writing in this campaign is downright embarrassing: "The unemployment rate is high, incomes aren’t enough, and, well, we need to make it better for everybody. That’s why our platform includes so much worker protections and job creation.". 5 minutes of proofreading could have made the post so much cleaner. If you don't put in the effort in a short campaign post, how much effort are you going to put into running the country?

I would not trust you to run the McDonalds down the street, never mind the beautiful country of Atlasia.

1. Some on here have accused you of not being active enough as representative by missing votes and not engaging enough in debate. How do you respond to this criticism and how will you work to ensure you are active as President if elected?   

2. One of the major themes you have talked about is enacting a more protectionist policy. Below the questions is a common list of economically valid and invalid arguments for protectionism. Do you agree and disagree with this list and how will you balance protectionism with maintaining  a strong economy? 

3. If you could have one do over in Atlasia, what one item would you personally do differently and how would you do it differently?

I'm not sure what my biggest mistake has been thus far, but I probably should have ran seriously in June. I don't think I would have won, but I don't think I'd have lost to the point of throwing the Labor Party into a tizzy, either.
