So here is where I stand on defense. Where do all of you stand?

1. Consolidate the various security/intelligence agencies.
2. Cut weapons systems programs that are redundant or not relevant to current strategy.
3. Begin closing and withdrawing from overseas bases.
5. Generally reduce the size and scope of the current forces and military/industry establishment.

4. Read the constitution and existing laws and treaties to remind ourselves what they say, noting for example that Amendments 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 make no distinction between citizens and non-citizens.

I agree with the first 3 and I mention that above ...

Where?  Its not in your list.

Yeah I do get the sense that you dont care what the Constitution says.

1. Bring FBI and Homeland Security funding back to levels of Bush/Cheney era.

2. Maintain heightened security levels at airports to prevent attacks from terrorists.
3. Take all threats and warnings into account even in thought to be irrelevant.
4. Those harboring terrorists are just as guilty as the terrorists themselves.
5. Send spies to catch Bin Laden.
6. Allow gays and women to serve in the military.
7. Close military bases that we no longer use.
8. 5% pay raises for all military members.
9. Extend education and health care benefits for those serving our military.
10. No guaranteed length of deployment. (unfortunately)
11. When a general asks for more troops, you send more troops.
12. Prevent CIA from tapping into legal phone conversations.
13. Non-citizens do not have constitutional rights as they only apply to legal citizens.
14. Require warrant for legal citizen’s arrest.
15. Checking into borrowed library books goes too far and is an unnecessary expense.
16. End water boarding and other torturous practices.
17. Close Guantanamo Bay and torturing facilities to improve image and credibility.
18. Move prisoners to other military prisons around the world.
19. No trial for non-citizens or those suspected of terrorism, but military tribunals instead.
20. Require FBI and CIA to share intelligence with each other and with administration.
21. Expand Guest Worker Program for working immigrants.
22. Watch border, but do not stop immigrants from moving here.
23. Fund more toward teaching English to immigrants who are insufficient in English.
24. Many tribal languages were here before English, so no national language.
25. Recognize that people move here to live a better life.

Right there. Please read more carefully next time.

I agree, I wish we had a draft just for that, he is such a false patriot like Bush, Cheney, Rush, Rove. All about going to war as long as he dont have to do it. Hes a cheerleader, not a player.

There is no match between what you bolded in your list and what I wrote.

The draft made things equal, so lil rich boys like you had to go instead of sitting on the sidelines running your mouth trying to sound tough.

It also, you know, forced people to go to war against their will.

So is it really about war and peace or is about bringing down someone who happens to have a little more money than you?

All you care about is going out of your way to put someone you like in what YOU THINK is their place.
