I was wondering if any of you Brits or maybe even an American had an interest in the SPL.  I am a dedicated Tim (Glasgow Celtic supporter) and I am salivating over the prospect of Keane in a Hoops kit.  Will Keane join Celtic?  When will the Gers manager get sacked?  Can Hearts keep it up? What happens in the old Firm tomorrow and do you think the current anti-sectarian campaign will work?  So many questions.  It is nice to see some other teams close to the top besides the Glasgow clubs.

If anyone is interested post away.

The most likely move for Keane is Celtic, without doubt. He has long expressed an interest in this and I expect him to be playing there by January, though I don't know how Strachan fells about him. How well he will fit in and the consequences for the team,  I don't know.

It seems fairly clear that McCleash will lose the Rangers job. The current placing and performances simply aren't acceptable for an old Firm side. Whether or not he will last till the end of the season, I couldn't say.

Hearts, I feel, will disintegrate now. They've had an exceptional start to the season, George Burley prooved himself to be talented and effective in charge. However, I have little confidence in the new guy, and feel that Hearts will end up battling for second spot with Rangers. Though it is good news to see a non-old firm side up there, I think its due to the fall off in quality of the big two than any other reason.

I don't think the sectarianism is going away any time soon, though of course the result of the match will probably have greater effect on the streets of Belfast than of Glasgow, and sectarianism is certainly not going away there any time soon.

Celtic 3 Huns 0 Wink

McLeish is history.  I can't  remember the last time a Rangers team was this bad in the SPL.

Precisely why I can't remember;)  The gers have had some dominate runs in the SPL, but they have never really done anything in Europe.

Good lord, there is a thread on the SPL Smiley

I'm also a Celtic supporter and I'm glad to see then 15 points clear of Rangers. I think Hearts will begin to fall back but I hope they provide a strong challenge to Rangers, they have a strong team and financial backing behind them and it can get a bit dull having the same two teams battle it out year after year.

Huns on holiday:)    A week late...

Rangers could face punishment from UEFA after Villarreal's team bus came under attack on its way to last night's Champions League tie.

UEFA are awaiting a report from their match observer on the pre-match incident, which saw a window of the bus shattered by a missile.

Alex McLeish's side went out of the competition on the away-goals rule with their heads high, but the club may face action if it can be proved their supporters were behind the attack.

Spanish police clashed with supporters outside Villarreal's stadium, El Madrigal, and UEFA look set to launch an investigation.

A spokesperson told PA Sport: 'Once we receive a report from the UEFA delegate then we look into what exactly went on.

'We expect that to arrive two days after the game but if these incidents did occur then action is likely to happen.

'I don't really want to say too much at this time but we are certain to act on the UEFA delegate's report.'

Villarreal could also be in hot water, with Rangers safety chief Lawrence McIntyre security for the game in Spain as among the worst he had seen.

An estimated 15,000 Rangers fans travelled to Spain for the second leg of the last-16 tie, even though the official allocation for travelling supporters was just 3,000.

Thousands more managed to obtain tickets for home sections of the ground, despite appeals from McIntyre ahead of the game for those without tickets to stay away.

Smiley. Just thought you may have been with Motherwell being just a few miles down from Belshill. Assuming Scott's a local lad, that is
