I was under the impression that Sarah Palin was embarrassingly unpopular in Alaska. I would think Republicans would fear a Palin vs. Generic Democrat election because that would be a potential throwaway of what should be a Safe R seat in a Biden midterm.

Do you have proof of this?  I wonder about that.  She's been out of office a long time now, and her time in the public eye was filled with lots of negative publicity.  I can imagine her maintaining a faithful following, but she's been gone a long time from politics?

I'd like to see that.  I haven't liked Palin much in the past, but I'm certainly fine with her challenging Murkowski, who's the worst case of nepotism ever to enter the US Senate.

Murkowski and Collins haven't committed not to vote for Barrett, they voted for her already as an Appellate Crt judge, they just said wait til after the election and it could be a vote during the week of the election, due to Covid outbreak
