I think the gay rumours and possible scandal would be too much to be honest.  Also, Jeb Bush would be a much choice and essentially fulfills the same role.

Nonetheless, rumors about Crist's sexuality completely rule him out as a VP pick, rightly or wrongly. Can you imagine what a disaster it would be for the GOP if their Vice Presidential candidate was outed mid-campaign?

I think FL goes GOP in 2008 with or without Crist, so he really doesn't add anything to the ticket.
