Correct me if I'm wrong, but is 25% the highest that Obama has gotten in any national Dem. primary poll ever?  Also the first poll I've seen in which Obama beats Clinton among blacks.  I also think this might be first ever national poll in which Romney does better than Gingrich.

I believe it is; he's been at 24% in a poll, and at 21% in the poll that showed him one point short of Clinton, so this is probably the highest for him. I believe Romney had outperformed Gingrich in a couple of early polls, though. This might show signs of a stagnation in McCain's collapse and the continued dimming of Clinton's star. Or it might just be Zogby.

I'd love for these numbers to be real but they seem a little too good to be true for Obama (especially in the general election against Giuliani).

Rasmussen does seem to be in concurrence with Zogby, at least on the Democratic primary.

Giuliani is leading McCain by nine in a Zogby poll?

I am so relieved that McCain has finally taken the lead!

I wouldn't be so thrilled. Zogby's telephone polls actually weren't too bad in the last election. Its his "interactive polls" and personal predictions that are always total crap.

It would be just as impressive if Zogby were always wrong as if Zogby were always right.

Another interesting tidbit from this poll:

"Among those Republican voters who consider themselves “very conservative,” Romney wins 23%, compared to 22% for former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich. The much–ballyhooed very conservative vote is split even more among second–tier candidates, with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice winning 13% support and Sen. Sam Brownback winning 9%. Giuliani (4%) and McCain (3%) failed to win more than token support among this demographic."

Of course it's to be expected that the most conservative voters would prefer other candidates over Giuliani and McCain, but I wouldn't have expected them to be doing *that* poorly among that group.  That is a bit surprising.
