According to CQ Politics, businessman Larry Grant (D) "will be seeking a rematch next year of his 2006 contest in Idaho’s 1st Congressional District -- an open-seat race in which he lost to longtime Republican state lawmaker Bill Sali by just a 5 percentage-point margin."

Even in a Presidential year, Grant could win. Sali has only made himself less popular since the beginning of his term. However, such a victory would be impossible if, as seems likely, Sali is picked off in the primary by someone more sane.
