Could be interesting.  Dole's lead is solid, but Miller's lack of name recognition which hurts him in  the poll would obviously change if he were to run.  Dole is still the clear favorite, but being under that 50% mark as an Incumbent is not a good sign for her.

Obviously she's definitely favored, but she's not home free with those kind of numbers. Senator Allen was in much better shape 2 years ago.

true.  only easley, perduei or moore could give dole a strong challenge.  none of those will run.  therefore, i expect to see a sacrificial lamb run.
