Resembles the distribution of the Presidential Money so far:

2/3 going to Democrats - 1/3 to Republicans

But does anyone know why the DNC is about broke and the DSCC and DCCC are doing so well ?

Because Howard Dean is a bum.

Seriously, raising money for these campaign committees is pretty much a zero-sum game and the corporate givers would rather contribute to the D-Trip or the DSCC than the DNC, which will basically duplicate the efforts of the presidential candidate. Jay Cost recently had a great article on the demise of the political party apparatus and the rise of third party interest groups. I suspect that rich Democrats feel more comfortable sending money to an umbrella group like America Votes, than a rather profligate committee like the DNC.

Howard Dean is pissing away money in states where we have no shot. Sorry Dean, but we can't win every state.
