My county was Miami-Dade from K-12. 4th Largest in the nation. I'm definitely not listing all of those schools.

In my county?  Hmmm.. we don't do schools by county.  We do them by districts.. so I'll do my school district:

Bemidji Independent School District #31

Elementary
Central  K-5  200 students
J.W Smith PreK-5 300 students
Lincoln K-5  450 students
Solway K-5  180 students
Northern K-5 500 students
Horace May  K-5  400 students

When I was in elementary school, there were two more schools:

Paul Bunyan Elementary:  Closed in 2002.  Building still used as district central offices.  PreK-K.. all Kindergarten students went here, except Solway and Deer Lake students, the other elementaries were 1-5

Deer Lake Elementary:  K-5  Closed in 2000 due to declining enrollment.  The school was mothballed, but may be re-opened as soon as 2008/9 because of growth in the area.

Bemidji Middle School:  6-8... Had about 1400 students when I went there, is now down to just over 1000.

Bemidji High School:  9-12... had about 1800 students when I went there, is now down to 1500.

Charter Schools:

Schoolcraft Learning Community:  K-8  160 students  Opened 2000/01.

Trek North High School:  9-12  160 students.  Opened 2003/4

Voyageurs Expeditionary High School:  100 students.  Opened 2003/04

Private Schools:

St. Phillips Catholic:  K-8.  250 students.

Heartland Christian Academy:  PreK-8.  90 Students.

There are several other school districts in Beltrami County including teh Red Lake Indian Reservation School District (1200 students), Blackduck School District (900 students), Kelliher School District (250 students), Northome School District (300 students) and a few others that are small.

Students attending Bemidji school district come from Hubbard and Beltrami Counties.

Here are the public high schools.

Lexington County School District 1
Gilbert
Lexington
Pelion
White Knoll

Lexington County School District 2
Airport
Brookland-Cayce

Lexington County School District 3 (also serves part of Saluda County)
Batesburg-Leesville

Lexington County School District 4
Swansea

Lexington-Richland School District 5
Chapin
Dutch Fork
Irmo

There's only one private high school in the county, Glenforest School (K-12), which markets itself as a private school for smart kids with learning difficulties.  Columbia has the private schools that serve the metro area and the western part of the county is served by the white flight school of W.Wyman King Academy in Saluda County.

I'll spare you the trouble of scrolling past lots of schools whose names you aren't going to read. Memphis City Schools has about 30 high schools and about 150 elementary schools. Shelby County Schools, which covers the rest of the county has 7 high schools and about thirty elementary schools. We also have one of the largest number of private schools in the country per capita b/c lots of people don't want their kids going to school with blacks or without Jesus.
