COLUMBIA, S.C. -- On the night Sen. Barack Obama won the South Carolina primary, one of his two hometown newspapers has endorsed his presidential bid.
In its Sunday editions, the editorial page of the Chicago Tribune calls Obama the "Democrat best suited to lead this nation."
On the Republican side of the primary race, the newspaper endorsed Sen. John McCain of Arizona, saying the present dangerous world is a place he "unknowingly spent a military and political career preparing to confront."
