"Whispers" to Romney during debate?

Of course he wasn't actually being whispered the answers because 1) they wouldn't be that stupid and 2) I think Mitt's intelligent enough to remember his own talking points.

So since it wasn't that, what the hell was it?

I remember hearing these during the debate and for a split second I thought he was being whispered answers but then I remembered something. Rudy has this terrible habit of repeating things to himself and to some of those around him during these debates. It usually happens when he is laughing at Paul.

The only problem is that these whispers don't sound like Rudy this time.

The Rudy ones were particularly disturbing- I think the Florida air has been getting to him.

I think it might have been someone whispering that to *Russert*, to remind him to mention that Reagan raised taxes in his question.  Here's the transcript:

Notice how in the initial question, Russert just asks "will you do what Reagan did with Social Security...." without mentioning what that was.  He was probably supposed to include that mention of what exactly Reagan did in his question, so someone whispered that to him as Romney was starting to answer the question, and he interrupts Romney to complete the question.

the second one is the more suspicious, to me. We hear the whisper right in the pause when Romney repeats himself, except makes it more 'soundbite-ey'
