Kerry got 40.9% in 04'. I expect higher AA turnout, coupled with lower evangelical turnout to get Obama to 43-44% on election day.

Currently Obama is getting 15% of the white vote and Obama is getting almost all the black vote.  Those damned whites are voting for the white guy - damned southern white racists!

15% Whites ? That`s worse than AL or MS. What are the chances that this is an outlier ?

Internals might be screwy, but the overall numbers seem about right. I expect he'll get 42% or so on election day with SC being about 14% more GOP than the national average. Black turnout will be higher, but not so dramatic that it will shift the numbers that much.

That's because most blacks are Democrats. I'm pretty sure that more than 15% of whites, even in SC, are Democratic

I'm guessing Obama will do about the same as Gore; so something like 57-42 for McCain.
