Obama - 51
McCain - 45

800 state of Virginia adults were interviewed by SurveyUSA 10/18/08 and 10/19/08. Of them, 740 were registered to vote. Of them, 652 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote in the general election on 11/04/08. Virginia has 13 Electoral College votes. George W. Bush carried Virginia by 8 points in both 2004 and 2000. The state is a "must hold" for McCain.

Strange, didn't expect to see the tightening coming from SUSA.

I still think VA is a nailbiter.

I have to admit that I am concerned about VA.  I never thought I would be.  I still think it is a coin toss.....but I cant just keep dismissing polls forever

Yeah, I'm shocked with how consistent it is in favor of Obama.  I still don't buy +10, but it seems to be a lean Obama state, which I wouldn't have expected.

I wonder if the Senate race is having a significant effect on McCain's numbers.

It looks like anything but a nailbiter at the moment.

Yes, I'm aware what the polls say.  Smiley
