Honestly, I'm not surprised by this at all. What Mormons need to remember is that seperation of church and state goes both ways. Seperation of church and state is the protection of civil society and the state from the church not letting the church run roughshod over society. If a church seeks to meddle in the political process whether directly or indirectly, it should be subject to state interference I'm talking things like the prosecution of anti-gay priests/pastors for hate speech, applying affirmative action quotas for pastors and other reforms. You don't want the feds telling you what you can say or who can become a priest then don't tell your followers to vote a certain way or pump money into conservative causes.

I'd agree here, the IRS needs to examine the LDS's grounds for tax exemption.
